The first run of the season is always a shakedown — there's usually something to sort out. Here's what we caught on this one.
ProblemLosing trailer brakes intermittently on the drive out.
FixTraced to a short in the brake wiring. Pulled off in Spearman, TX and patched it roadside with zip ties and electrical tape. Held solid the rest of the way.
ProblemLost power at 70 mph near Conway, AR — no throttle response, coasted to the shoulder without power steering or brakes. Cranked but wouldn't start; no check-engine light.
FixTowed to Crain Buick GMC of Conway. Sat dead overnight, fired right up on a charger the next morning. Full diagnostic came back clean — no stored codes — with one battery testing borderline bad. Replaced under warranty; no issues the rest of the trip.
