The Case of the Repeat-Blowing Fuse

Every trip starts with a walk of the systems — lights, water, slides — better to catch something wrong in the driveway than six hundred miles down the road. This time, the driveway found it for us. A 15-amp fuse blew the instant it touched the panel. Not eventually — instantly, every single time. The position was labeled “kitchen area overhead LTS,” so that’s where I started looking. Dead Truck, Kind Strangers: Our Night in Conway, Arkansas

We were about twenty minutes out from the KOA in North Little Rock, cruising at 70 in the center lane and coming up on a busy interchange in rush-hour traffic, when the truck just… let go. Day One: A Bunny, a Brake Wire, and the Open Road

Boyd Lake Getaway

A weekend at Boyd Lake State Park just outside Loveland — Cottonwood Shores Campground, right on the water and barely sixteen miles from the house. It’s our favorite season-opener for one reason: it’s a shakedown run. Something always works its way loose over the winter, and we’d much rather find it sixteen miles from home than six hundred.
